Final Performance

My groups performance was situated in an Art Gallery. My group, which was made up of Hannah Marns, Rebekah Driver and Maria Parkes, consisted of two sack puppets, and two other puppets. As a group, I believe we worked well, as we came up with a scenario rather quickly. Although, out of the whole class, ours was the shortest, I believe we got our puppeteering skills across, and I believe we presented a good quality piece of performance.

We wanted to show a comedy side to our puppets because our piece was set in a serious place. This is why we showed the man flirting with the woman, and when the sack baby was being sick on his father. I did notice that not many people actually laughed, so perhapes it wasn't as funny as we thought it was going to be.

We could have improved our piece by making it longer. This would have allowed us to show more of what we can do. I also think that we should have said more, as in the first rehearsal, we were told we were meant to keep spoken words to a minimal (if none at all), so we found it rather hard to get across the fact that we were in an art gallery. However, when we saw the other groups, we noticed that they were using words, and not just noises, so we quickly added a few words about famous paintings into our piece.
